What does Icito Kwene mean, you ask? Well, in Lwo it means 'Where are you going?' Lwo is the language spoken by the Acholi people; those who originate from the town of Gulu. Fitting as a Blog title?...I thought so.
So, where am I going? Well...off to the wide world of Blogging. I am officially joining the crowd. More importantly, I am of course traveling to Gulu, Uganda. This will become the best way for all of you to hear everything about my journey to Gulu and back. Hopefully I will be able to update this often enough that you'll be able to check back and hear about my Ugandan adventures, and of course make comments. :o)
So check back just before June 16th, and then again until July 23rd. I can't wait to share the road with all of you! Now I'm off to buy more DEET bug repellant, and long skirts! :o)

Perk. I'm so excited that you've joined the blogging world, and I cannot wait to read about your adventures. I've always wondered how to say, "slowly by slowly the white man will fall" in Lwo...ideas?
'in lapwony maber.' it's true.
I love reading your comments. I've been checking several times every day. Is that new picture of you and two children from Uganda or USA? Love Mom
