Hello All. I am now in Gulu, and it is great! Unfortunately I cannot make this blog very long...more will come later. Gulu is beautiful. The people are so great.
The best times I've had so far are walking into and back out of town. The best is that there is a teacher w/ us from St Louis, who is 7'1" tall. John's huge! People are already calling him the American Giant, and I am sure that soon all of the town will know who he is!
There are so many children that you pass by, and they all give you stare/scared look. So far the best feeling has come from saying "Apwoyo" (Ah-foy-yo) to the children. Their faces instantly light up, and you can see the excitement in their eyes. I can't wait to meet my teacher tomorrow, and get into the classroom on Monday!
